Wandering South for the Winter

During our trip south this winter we decided to visit several nudist resorts and destinations.  The first stop was Silver Valley Club in Newberry Springs, California.  We spent Christmas day there.  It was very quiet but had a nice small lake and hot tub which we could enjoy.  There were no activities going on when we were there however, they do have several weekend activities each month.  We would like to go back and spend some additional time there.

We also stayed at Magic Circle in Quartzsite at LaPosa South for 2 weeks.  This is a Naturist place where there are activities every day of the week.  Something for everyone.  They had everything from canoeing to crafts to common movies and even movies to borrow.  Plus a social hour everyday.

Venturing south we made a stop at DeAnza Springs which has some wonderful hiking opportunities into some very unique areas.  they are located in Jacumba, California and everyone is very friendly.  They have an indoor and outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub, exercise room, hotel, rental units and a cafe open 3-4 days and evenings a week.  We enjoyed the hiking and plan to go back within the year.

Just north of Pheonix we stayed at Shangri La for a few nights.  They have a lot of full time folks therefore, there is always something going on there.  There are 2 pools, hot tub, cafe, weekly dances on Saturday night and we were lucky enough to be there for their Chili Cook off which had 18 participants.  Yum, yum!!

All in all we had a great time and look forward to visiting more places in the future.
